Greetings from the FLY Program Project Manager of SNU SIFE!
We are recruiting foreign students to participate in the FLY program during the spring semester of 2008 in BongCheon Elementary School and Byuri Alternative Elementary School.
SNU SIFE
SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is a nonprofit organization that gives students the tools to learn the free enterprise system in real work environments. Working in partnership with businesses and other institutions of higher education, SIFE has established student teams on 2,000 university campuses in 50 countries. SIFE challenges these teams to take what they're learning in the classroom and use their knowledge to better their communities.
Established at SNU in April 2007, there are currently 16 SIFE active members in SNU.
FLY Program
The purpose of the FLY Program, organized by SNU SIFE, is to help foreign students to better cope with the challenges they face while living in Korea. Through the program, foreign students will teach their languages and culture to Korean elementary students weekly in the selected hours during the spring semester of 2008, as well as gain the opportunity to communicate with the local Korean community directly and the Korean kids can experience other cultures and languages.
The program has been hosted by CJ Donors Camp and Cyworld, and was awarded the Grand Prize in the 2nd Hope Promotion Project.
Program Objectives
1) To provide economic aid for foreign students
