The Department of French Language and Literature is offering the opportunity for undergraduate students to study French in Institut international d'etudes francaises de l'universite Marc-Bloch de Strasbourg. The course allows students to study French for three weeks, and obtain 3 university credits. This program includes a regular language course, cultural exploration, and group activities such as touring famous sites and watching cultural performances. Please see below for details.

○ Location: Institut international d'etudes francaises de l'universite Marc-Bloch de Strasbourg

○ Duration: Sunday, January 18th ~ Sunday, February 8th, 2009 (3 weeks)

○ Availability: 10 undergraduate students

○ Department in Charge: Department of French Language and Literature

○ Professor in Charge: Kim Jung-hee

○ Pre-Requisites:
-   Grade B+ or above in an intermediate or advanced French course
* Courses considered as Intermediate or Advanced French courses are as follows:
- Introduction to French 2
- French Composition
- Current French
- Advanced French Reading
-   An interview with the dean and the professor in charge
(course registration will be done by the department afterwards)

Interview: Tuesday, October 21st

○ Cost
* The university will finance the tuition and the dormitory fee.
* Each student has to cover the expenses for group activities, all meals, transportation and cultural explorations. The cost is expected to total around 500,000 won.
* Each individual has to purchase and arrange their own air transportation to France, which will cost around 1,300,000 won.

You cannot cancel or receive a refund after course registration.
The winter session enrollment costs for 3 credits at SNU is not included in the cost. Each individual must print out the bill and pay at the allocated bank.
