`Introduction to German 3` Registration

The Department of German Language and Literature is offering the opportunity for undergraduate students to study German in Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. The course allows students to study German for four weeks, and obtain 3 university credits. Please see below for details.  

Location: Freie Universität Berlin

Duration: Saturday, January 10th ~ Saturday, February 7th, 2009 (4 weeks)

Availability: 10 undergraduate students

Department in Charge: Department of German Language and Literature

Professor in Charge: Koo Myung-chul (koomc@snu.ac.kr) 

Pre-Requisites:
- Grade B+ or above in more than one intermediate or advanced German course


* Courses considered as Intermediate or Advanced German courses are as follows:
- Introduction to German 2
- German Composition
- Current German

- Readingsin German Prose
- Alternatively, a recommendation by a professor of the Department of German Language and Literature or the Department of German Language Education can be submitted.

Costs
* The university will finance 1,300 euros for the tuition and dormitory fee (around 2,500,000 won).
* Each student has to pay 500,000 won for the participation fee, and air transportation to Germanyshould be arranged and purchased individually. Miscellaneous living expenses and the registration fee for the winter session at SNU will not be financed by university. Each applicant must print out the bill and pay at allocated banks during the registration period.

Interview: Wednesday, October 29th

- Certificate of 2008 Fall Semester Enrollment

Please note that
ㆍ You cannot cancel or receive a refund after course registration.
ㆍ If there are more applicants than availability, studentswill be selected after an interview with the dean or the professor in charge
Students graduating this semester can not apply.
