Computer-aided strategies for improving and editing English composition

When writing and editing (academic) essays in English, students often feel insecure or unconfident about their English skills, thus resort to friends and acquaintances who are native English speakers for assistance. This workshop focuses on teaching students how to identify mistakes they make repeatedly, fix and improve them, and develop their general English skills as well in the process by themselves. Students will also learn how to use computer programs like the Adobe Reader, Microsoft Word and the Windows movie maker to learn, compose, edit and make presentations in English in a more effective manner. Also, various websites that can aid in fixing grammatical mistakes, misuse of vocabulary and help with English composition will be introduced, and they will be given a chance in class to utilize these sites in various ways.
