2008 Winter Session Registration

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature is offering the opportunity for undergraduate students to study Chinese in Beijing Normal University(北京師範大學校), China. The course allows students to study Chinese in China for four weeks and obtain 3 university credits. Please see below for details.

■ Duration: Sunday, December 28th 2008 ~ Monday, January 19th 2009

■ Location: Beijing Normal University(北京師範大學校), China

■ Department in charge: Department of Chinese Language and Literature

■ Availability: 20 SNU undergraduate students

■ Financial Support
-Course registration fee, tuition, cultural exploration fee and dormitory fee are financed by SNU.
-Each student has to pay a participation fee of 600,000 won.
-Participation fee includes: air transportation fee, immigration fee, part of the cultural exploration fee and course operation fee.
-The registration fee for the winter session at SNU will not be financed. Each applicant must print out the bill and pay at allocated banks during the registration period.

Pre-Requisites:
① Grade B+ or above in more advanced Chinese course than <Introduction to Chinese 2> (No restrictions on student’s department)
② If there are more applicants than availability, students will be selected after an interview with the dean or the professor in charge
※ Students graduating this semester can not apply.
※ You cannot cancel or receive a refund after course registration.

■ Application Period: Monday, October 20th, 2008. – Friday, October 31st, 2008.

■ Interview Date: Tuesday, November 4th, 14:00 pm

■ Interview Location: Office of Dept. of Chinese Language and Literature, (Bldg #1 Room #401, Tel: 880-6064)
※ Please arrive at the department office by 13:40 pm.

■ Required Documents:
- Application form (attached, or download from http://plaza.snu.ac.kr/~snucll/)
- University Transcript
- Certificate of 2008 Fall Semester Enrollment
